Sometimes clarity strikes like lightning, sharp, sudden, and blindingly bright. Other times, it creeps in quietly, softly whispering neon colors behind your eyelids until you finally see.
This painting is titled “Vision” because that’s exactly what it felt like to create it. Each bold shape, each vibrant layer of color, each electric line was me reaching into the dark, pulling back the curtains, and daring to see something new.
We often think of vision as simple, something physical and obvious, but true vision is much more profound. It’s internal; it’s how we perceive ourselves, each other, and the world around us. It’s the courage to look beyond our old stories and limiting beliefs, straight into the bright, sometimes intimidating future we’re meant to embrace.
The brightness in this artwork is intentional and unapologetic. It shouts, “Hey! Look! Something significant is happening here: something real, raw, and beautiful. Don’t miss it.” And isn’t that what life is about? Learning to keep our eyes and hearts open, even when it’s easier to look away.
I painted “Vision” as a reminder that clarity isn’t always comfortable. But when you finally allow your eyes to adjust and you permit yourself to see what you’ve always felt but were afraid to acknowledge, everything transforms. Life becomes vibrant, and possibility blooms in technicolor.
If you’re gazing at this piece right now, consider it your sign: trust what you see, even if no one else sees it yet. Your vision is a gift: bright, beautiful, and entirely yours. Don’t dim it for anyone.
Shine on.
